2022 RUC ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS
Advent 1
Sunday, November 27th
Pastor Jennifer will preach pondering Mary. The Choir sings the Magnificat.
Our children and youth will enjoy making some seasonal crafts during Sundays School time following the Word for Children. We’ll make paper Advent Chains and decorate wooden gingerbread houses.
Advent 2
Sunday, December 4th
Pastor Scott will preach pondering Joseph.
NOISY Youth will meet for a special holiday NOISY (12-3 p.m.). We hope all our youth will join as we get in the Christmas spirit. We'll decorate cookies and video parts for the Christmas Pageant at the church.
Advent 3
Sunday, December 11th
Pastor Scott will preach pondering the Shepherds and the Angels.
Advent 4
Sunday, December 18th
The Rev. Jean Brown will preach pondering the Earth and Animals at the nativity.
BLUE CHRISTMAS ~ Wednesday, December 14, 7pm hybrid
We invite you to join us for our Blue Christmas Service. It’s a worship service that offers comfort and hope through quiet reflection, scripture, and music. It is a time to be with a loving and caring church family. If you know someone who has experienced loss, encourage them to join us on Zoom! Our preacher is Elder Kelly Tate.
CHRISTMAS EVE ~ Saturday, December 24, 7pm
Join us for on this special night for worship and wonderful music provided by Jim Levy, the Sanctuary Choir and others! Christmas Eve service will include the Christmas pageant and our tradition of lighting candles in the darkened sanctuary. The service is hybrid. We will be socially distancing at RUC and will have the Kaseman Hall equipped if we need more space.
