Meet Our New Minister
The Reverend Dr. Duncan Newcomer

Duncan has a wide range of professional experience to bring to ministry with the church and community. He has been a psychotherapist in private practice as a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, a member of the Family Medicine Faculty of the University of Connecticut Medical School. He was the founding chair of the Philosophy and Religion Department of the Loomis Chaffee School and has devoted much of his life to writing and poetry.

He holds a B.A. from Davidson College in North Carolina, a Masters in Divinity from The Union Theological Seminary in New York City, a Doctorate in Preaching Ministry from the Chicago Theological Seminary. He has been a Fellow at the College of Preachers in Washington, D.C., and is ordained in the United Church of Christ. He has served as minister in four churches in Connecticut before coming to Rockville United Church.
