The January 16th Sunday worship service was RUC at its best. From the inspired musical selections to the choice of one of our young people to read the scripture passages, every aspect of the service illustrated how we as a congregation live our values. I am always proud to be a member of RUC, but I was especially proud on Sunday. I was thrilled that visitors saw us at our best, too. And I was proud to see how RUC members reached out and welcomed our many church visitors last Sunday. At RUC, making people feel welcome and accepted really is in our DNA. On Sunday, I watched from my perch in the choir as members of our congregation greeted visitors as they came in, helped visitors during the service, and introduced visitors to other RUC members after church. I may be the Council Elder for Membership, but at RUC making new friends is everyone's responsibility, one that everyone takes on without having to be asked or prompted. Thank you RUC.
