Rockville United Church welcomes all who wish to serve God, make a difference in the world, and explore the meaning of life with others. We are a diverse church community that strives to make people feel at home and fosters friendships. Our community offers a broad array of social mission activities, an inspired musical program, and a Christian educational program for children and adults. Although our congregation is a union of Presbyterian and United Church of Christ denominations, our members come from many different faith backgrounds (Jewish, Catholic, Baptist, agnostic, etc.). We are a More Light (Presbyterian), Open and Affirming (United Church of Christ), Ecumenical, and Just Peace Church.
We provide prospective member orientations and opportunities for new members to join several times a year. All new members are assigned a sponsor to mentor their inclusion into the church community. Membership provides opportunities to become an active participant in church committees, activity planning, and administrative decisions.
For those interested in joining RUC or exploring what membership means, Pastor Scott and the Membership Committee have scheduled a class for January 22 immediately following worship in the Church’s Conference Room. Please contact the Church Office if you are interested in attending. Lunch will be provided.
