Children and Youth

Children's Enrichment begins February 19!

Beginning February 19th and continuing through June 17th, we will offer spiritual enrichment and fellowship opportunities for our youngest children, as an alternative to remaining through the entire worship service.  Children ages four through eight (third grade) will stay in worship through our Children’s Experience, and will  then be given the opportunity, if they wish, to go downstairs to engage with peers in a Bible lesson, an activity, fellowship through play, and sometimes, music.  Parents/caregivers may pick up their children downstairs at the conclusion of worship.

Youth Group

Middle and High School

Youth usually meet two Sundays a month starting with a kick-off barbeque in late August. Activities include games, lunch, study, drama and great fellowship. This year's activities included lock-in for each age group, Rally Day carwash, Video Game Marathon for charity.

Special Events

The Christian Education program offers events for the entire church throughout the year. These include the Rally Day, Children's Sabbath, Decorating Night, a Christmas Pageant, 30 Hour Famine, and outings to Six Flags, and a winter Ski Trip to Massanutten.

Child Care

Young children are welcome to go to our nursery during worship services and many special events. We have a three person staff in the nursery, generally two adults and a teen volunteer.

During the latter half of the worship service, children interested in participating in our children's choir leave worship the second and third Sundays of each month, during the Gloria after the Children's Experience, for choir practice.
