Join us as we kick off a new year of Sunday School. Children ages pre-K through middle school go together to their Sunday School classes after our "Word for Children" in worship. After worship we'll have an all church potluck, a moon bounce and an ice cream stand! Come celebrate with us! Worship begins at 10:45.
Parents/caregivers, please pick up your children downstairs at the conclusion of worship.
Christian Education for children at RUC merges arts and mission with a special focus on community and stewardship. We take a "multiple intelligence" approach to teaching. During our Sunday School, you might find us baking an empty meringue tomb, imagining the wilderness in a sandbox, or tossing a marshmellow at the bully Goliath. Mission is incorporated in all of our activities.
Children attend worship with their parents/caregivers. You are invited to pick up an activity bag outside the sanctuary doors if your child would like to read or color while they're in worship. During our church service we regularly offer a "Word for Children." An adult or older youth volunteer invites children up to the chancel near the start of the service. They engage the children and the congregation using a story-telling format in a theme related to scripture. Following the "Word for Children," our pre-k through middle school youth depart together for Sunday School.
Our Sunday School classes are located on the lower floor. Parents may pick up their children after worship downstairs
