Scott Winnette’s life is lived blessed by a beloved Creator. He was born into a faithful Christian family in middle Tennessee that alternated between his mother’s Church of Christ preference and his father’s Baptist leanings. Drawn into a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, he sought out his own church as a senior in high school. High school buddies invited Scott to join them at their Presbyterian church. The thought-provoking theology, inspiring preaching, and music were very attractive. |

Sarah Anders is honored and excited to join the RUC community. She is passionate about nurturing the faith development of children, youth and adults and has a special place in her heart for children. She believes strongly in teamwork and is delighted to be in shared ministry with the staff, lay leaders and congregants. She is drawn to the congregation’s collaborative and creative spirit and values its desire to be compassionate and mission-oriented. |

Mary Sugar |

Mary Sugar has been a Music Director and Church Musician for 37 years, playing organ and piano at churches in Central New York, New York City, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Mary spent 11 years as a musical director, pianist, and teacher in New York City, where she worked on and off-Broadway, at Lincoln Center, and in many other venues. She went around the world as conductor/pianist for Leslie Uggams, and played a concert-tour in Italy with Amanda McBroom & George Ball.

Jan is a certified Christian Educator and has a B.A. in English and a Masters in Education from the University of Virginia. Jan is an experienced Christian educator and youth director who has a passion for equipping young people to serve as active participants in worship, mission, and the life of the church. She lives in Kensington with her family that includes husband Vol, daughters, Andrea, Kelsey, and Kim, and their lab, Benson. She is also a fan of labyrinths, twizzlers, and mystery novels.
